About Cultov8:

Over 10 weekends from 2018-2019, 300 participants will work together to find solutions to real world problems – and then build their startups.

Over the free and fun hackathon** weekends, participants will:

  • form teams
  • come up with business ideas
  • design and develop their idea
  • ‘pitch’ their idea to a panel of judges
  • have help from business coaches
  • business mentors and
  • technology mentors

Then, if teams want to continue their new venture, they can participate in a free 12 week supportive startup development program.

Our focus is for all participants to learn skills in:

  • technology – web sites or app development or game development
  • skills to build a startup
  • entrepreneurship skills that they can use throughout their life

We have a particular focus on encouraging young women to become involved in technology and startup life.
